Aguedita Garcia

Aguedita Garcia, age 88, of Lyons, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Oxley Park Health & Rehab in Lyons.

Mrs. Garcia was born on October, 27 1935 in Matamoros Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Tomasita Martinez. Mrs. Garcia was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Garcia.

Survivors include her children, Catarina Garcia of Brownsville, Texas, Agustina Garcia of Lyons, and Cruz Garcia of Greeley, Colorado. 20 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren also survive.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11:00am from Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Vidalia with Father Gordian Iwuji officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Lyons.

Active pallbearers will be Manuel Baza Jr., Juvenal Vargas, Daniel Orellana, Jr., Carlos Orellana, Jr., Jose Avila, and Salvador Cervantes.

A visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 from 6pm until 8pm at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
