Al Graham

Al Graham, age 72, of Baxley died Friday, February 26, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.

Mr. Graham was born July 8, 1943 in Dodge County to the late John Graham and the late Bernice Poole Graham. He was a member of the Baxley Christian Center. Mr. Graham was founder and owner of South Georgia Broadcasters, Inc., WBYZ/WUFE Radio and SGB Media. Mr. Graham was also former owner of WSIZ Radio in Ocilla, GA and WRDO Radio in Fitzgerald, GA. He was preceded in death by a son, Joel Graham, granddaughter, Jaden Mumford and brother, Don Graham.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Graham of Baxley; four daughters, Debbie Hart of Baxley, Jeanna Burke of Yantis, Texas, Jan Crosby and Julie Mumford all of Baxley; Son, Jimmy Graham of Baxley; Brother, Gary Graham of Alma; a devoted pet, Primus Graham; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Baxley Church of God with Rev. Lamar Lee, Rev. Rick Brown, Rev. R.M. Warren & Rev. Roger Daniels officiating. Mr. Graham will lie in state one hour prior to funeral service.

Interment will follow in Appling Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers are Jay Graham, John Graham, Bobby Hutchinson, Scott Tillery, Henry Branch, Keith Price, Shane Crosby and Daniel McNeal.

Honorary pallbearers are the staff of WBYZ/WUFE and all friends in attendance.

Visitation will be Sunday evening 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the Baxley Christian Center.
