Andrew Marshall England, Sr.

Andrew Marshall England, Sr., age 89, of Baxley passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Mr. England was born January 26, 1935 in Savannah and was educated in the Savannah schools.  He attended Armstrong Junior College and University of Georgia, graduating in 1957.  Mr. England served ten years in the United States Navy Reserves and was a retired traveling salesman with Florida Hardware Wholesale Company. He was a Cub Scout leader from 1973 until 1977 and was a member of Baxley First United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. England was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joan England and a son, Andrew Marshall “Andy” England, Jr.

Survivors include his daughter, Joanne Elizabeth “Beth” England of Baxley; son, John Gregorie “Greg” England (Lesha) of Savannah; grandson, Marshall Andrew “Drew” Gibbs (Katelyn); great granddaughter, Blair Gibbs; nephew, John Dukes; and cousin, Mark Driggers.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Omega Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Booth officiating.
