Annette Kersey O’Neal, age 61, of Baxley died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Appling Healthcare.
Mrs. O’Neal was born August 27, 1959 in Appling County to the late Robert Fulton Kersey and the late Dennie Shipes Kersey. She attended Carter’s Chapel Church of God of Prophecy and was a former cashier at Parker’s in Surrency. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Kersey, and a niece, Kelly Breedlove.
Survivors include her husband, Mike O’Neal of Baxley; son & daughter-in-law, Donnie & Autumn Nash, Jr. of Baxley; grandson, River Nash of Baxley; sisters, Debbie Wood (Stan Brewer) of Lumber City and Janie Breedlove (Wilbur) of Hazlehurst; brother, Terry Kersey (Elaine) of Cedar Crossing; and sister-in-law, Susie Kersey of Baxley. Special nephews, T. J. (Stacie) Beecher and Justin Beecher and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Justin McLellan officiating and a eulogy by Donnie Nash, Jr.
Interment will follow in Appling Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Jacob Sauls, Jordan Ball, Sasha Krumnow, Austin Banker, Brent Altman and Jamie Patterson.
Honorary pallbearers will be co-workers of Parkers and Barbara Dean’s Steakhouse, Cathy Temples and Michael Gibbs.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
