Betty Reeves Sellers

Betty Reeves Sellers, age 80, of Baxley, died Monday, January 25, 2021 at Appling Healthcare System.

Mrs. Sellers was born April 17, 1940 in Appling County to the late James E. Reeves and the late Eunice Stone Reeves.  She was a member of Melton’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she also attended the Helen Sellers Circle. Mrs. Sellers was a seamstress and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sellers was preceded in death by her brothers, W.M. Reeves, J.C. Reeves and sisters, Ethel Hipps, Christine Murray and Eveline Peacock.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Alvin Sellers of Baxley; daughters and a son in law, Belinda Sellers and Karen & Buddy Taylor all of Baxley; sons & daughters in law, Dwain & Susan Sellers of Baxley and Daren & Stephanie Sellers of Hazlehurst. Grandchildren, Kacie Hulett, Candyce Sellers, Michael Sellers, Aryn Sellers, Callie Taylor and Cole Taylor; great grandchildren, Ashton Hulett, Chase Hulett and Tripp Sellers also survive.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at Melton’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Danita Knowles officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Sellers, Tripp Sellers, Aryn Sellers, Cole Taylor, Matthew Hulett, Ashton Hulett and Chase Hulett.

Remembrances may be made to Melton’s Chapel Church Building Fund 136 Altamaha School Road, Baxley, Ga. 31513 or Charity of Choice.

Everyone in attendance is asked to please abide by COVID-19 precautions by wearing a mask and social distancing.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
