Betty Jean Weekley

Betty Jean Weekley, age 70, of Baxley passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016.

She was born August 15, 1945 in Beatrice, Alabama to the late Harold Fredrick Perry and the late Eva Francis Smith Perry. Mrs. Weekley was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Weekley and a grandson, Jonathan Kimmons.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jacqueline D. Zappitella of Baxley and Patricia Ann Beck of Pace, Florida; two sons, Billy Delee of Green Coves Spring, Florida and Julius J. Kimmons of Baxley; Two sisters, Trudy Madron of Florida and Louise Tuck of Naples, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 3:00 PM from Altamaha Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Hutcheson officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday evening 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Swain Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Julius J. Kimmons, Billy Delee, David Beck, Justin Kimmons, Michael Zappitessa, James L. Wales, Nicholas Zappitella and Thomas Harmon.
