Betty L. Griffin

Mrs. Betty L. Griffin, age 80, of Baxley, died Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Mrs. Griffin was born December 18, 1941 in Orlando, FL to the late David L. Jarrell and the late Athla A. (Carter) Jarrell.  She was a member of  First Assembly of God and was a retired seamstress with Bailey Boys.  Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Melva Lee Griffin.

Survivors include her children, Michele Walls of Baxley and Michael Griffin of Ringgold; three sisters, Linda Johnson, Peggy Johnson, and Connie Price all of Baxley; three brothers, Frank Jarrell of Jacksonville, FL, Donald Jarrell of Hazlehurst and Harry Jarrell of Jacksonville, FL.  Four grandchildren, Joanna Griffin, Kerr Griffin, Kolby Walls and Kaden Walls also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Rentz officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Todd Taylor, Jerry Jarrell, Dustin Price, Trey Jarrell, Kerr Griffin, Kolby Walls and Kaden Walls.

Honorary pallbearers will be staff of Pavilion & Davita Dialysis.
