Buddy Williams, age 56, of Lyons, died Friday, May 21, 2021 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.
Mr. Williams was born November 2, 1964 in Jesup. He was the owner of Williams Trucking Inc. and was a member of the Alee Shrine Temple, Tattnall Shrine Club, and Rising Sun Lodge #32. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father, David Earl Williams, Sr.; sister, Brenda Blanton; and nephew, Tony Cason.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Williams of Lyons; daughters and son-in-law, Amber Williams of Lyons and Brandy & Stephen Warren of Grantville; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan & Ashley Williams of Lyons; mother, Molly Williams of Surrency; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy & Tony Williams of Alamo and Jennifer & Garrett Lamb of Surrency; brothers and sister-in-law, Ronnie Williams of Surrency and Charlie & Carol Williams of Surrency; and three grandchildren, Emily Odom, Tyler Williams, and Molly Williams also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Carlton Rowell officiating.
Interment will follow in Surrency City Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Active pallbearers will be Ken Sheppard, John Bates, Merrill Anderson, Donnie Lewis, Bobby Nichols, Bubba Edwards, Trevor Chaffin, and Jerome Murray.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Tattnall Shrine Club and Rising Sun Lodge #32 and employees of Williams Trucking, Inc.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
