Calvin Junior Kersey

Calvin Junior Kersey, age 69, of Baxley passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Kersey was born October 12, 1955 in Appling County to the late Thomas Easter Kersey and the late Willie Nora Mock Kersey. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. Mr. Kersey was the owner & operator of C & C Trucking. He was also preceded in death by a step farther, Hugh M. Kersey; sister, Barbara Ann Ivey; and brothers, Monroe Mock, Edward Kersey, and Raymond Kersey.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Kersey of Baxley; daughter, Heather Renae Kersey of Baxley; Jonathon Eric (Misty) Kersey of Cordele and Clifton David Kersey of Baxley; sisters, Betty Reagin, Kathryn Kersey and Faye (Rev. Charles) Carter all of Hazlehurst; brother, Willie Joe Kersey of Baxley; three grandchildren, Blake Kersey, Jaylynn Kersey and Scooter Dills; mother-in-law, Annette Higgins; and several in-laws, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jared Beecher, Jerred Wasden, Brian Reagin, Tim Reagin, Mitchell Reagin and Daniel Ivey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Kim Davis and Altamaha Home Health.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
