Carrie Hunter Geiger, age 71 of Baxley died Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Bacon County Hospital.
Mrs. Geiger was a lifelong resident of Appling County and was born on June 29, 1950 to the late William Doc Hunter and the late Inez Carter Hunter. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Henry Geiger.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Camby & Jimmy Howe of Bonaire; son, Christopher Geiger of Baxley; sisters, Fodia Geiger of Hilliard, FL, Peggy Mincey and Lela Dixon both of Baxley; brothers, Floyd Hunter and Bill Hunter both of Baxley; and grandchildren, Autumn Chevell Geiger, Christopher Geiger, Jr., J.J. Howe, Jr., Korbin Paul Hollensteiner, and Adria Cail Perkins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Williamson, Rev. Rick Brown, and Rev. Benji McReady officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Linn Geiger, Ted Mincey, Charles Coley, Benny Dixon, Kevin Hunter, and Kyle Hunter.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
