Catherine Ann Dowling

Catherine Ann Dowling, age 82, of Odum passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at her residence.

She was born May 30, 1933 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Theodore Roosevelt Moffett and the late Ella Mae Estep Moffett. Mrs. Dowling was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Miami, Florida and was a retired from the City of Coral Gables as a cashier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward James Dowling and a son, Edward Scott Dowling.

Survivors include her daughter & son in law, Linda Louise & Wade Earl Hill of Odum; two grandsons, Wade Hill, Jr. of Miami and Charles Edward Hill of Odum; three great grandchildren, Charles Edward Hill, Jr., Catherine Mae Hill and Donovan Rusty Hill.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Earnest Dyal officiating.

Interment will follow in Moody-Tillman Cemetery in Odum.

Visitation will be Monday evening 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Swain Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers are Walker Ogden, Ted Ogden, Charlie Hill, John James Nicholson, Paul Upton, Lou Ogden and Jerome Ogden.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
