Charles Edward Dykes

Charles Edward Dykes, age 56, of Hazlehurst, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Mr. Dykes was born November 5, 1967 in Alma, Georgia. He was a member of Northgate Baptist Church and was a carpenter. Mr. Dykes was preceded in death by a brother, James Michael Dykes, grandparents, Oliver & Ernestine Shannon and Walter & Evie Dykes.

Survivors include his daughter, Sara Nicole Dykes of Hazlehurst; son, Skyler Dakato Dykes of Augusta; parents, Tommy Edward & Lorraine Dykes of Hazlehurst; brother, Arlon Dykes of Hazlehurst. Three grandchildren also survived.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Jinker Horton officiating. Interment will follow in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Active pallbearers will be Trey Dykes, Jamie Gay, Jody Stone, Nicky Cook, Bryan Sapp and Allen Kerr.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
