Charles Thomas "Tommy" Pevey, Sr.

Charles Thomas “Tommy” Pevey, Sr., age 79, of Baxley passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Memorial Health in Savannah.

Mr. Pevey was born March 9, 1944 in Chatham County to the late George Winton Pevey and the late Elsie Louise Deal Pevey.  He was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church and was a retired Boilermaker.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Pevey of Baxley; daughter, Sybil (Lemuel) Lee of Alabama; sons, Danny (Tina) Stone of Bristol, Kenny (Rhonda) Stone and Darrell (Felicia) Stone all of Baxley; brother, George (Joyce) Pevey of Sylvania. Eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 10:00 am from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Brown officiating.

Interment will be at a later date.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 am until the service hour.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
