Charles Timothy "Timmy" Martin

Charles Timothy “Timmy” Martin, age 62, of Alma, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

Mr. Martin was born October 12, 1958 in Jeff Davis County. He was a member of Pineview Church of God and was a diesel mechanic and a member of the Millwright Local 1263. He loved to race go karts and was an avid Ford fan.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd “Rod” & Willie Mae Crosby Martin and Gene & Bertell Dyal; his daughter, Kallie Mae Martin; a nephew, Blake Dyal; and a niece, Maeleigh Driggers.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Martin of Alma; a daughter & son in law, Kasey & Taylor Dykes of Alma; brothers & sisters in law, Arvie & Ellen Dyal and Farris & Angie Dyal all of Baxley. Grandchildren, Tymer Gillis, Tucker Dykes, Harlee Sellers, Hailee Sellers, Dalton Sellers, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other special friends also survive.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Dannie Hix and Rev. Craig Jump officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be Lloyd Beecher, Mike Brown, Brandon Wheeler, Luke Dyal, Corey Theus, and Ryan Watts.

Remembrances may be made to the Childhood Cancer Awareness Group of Coffee County P.O. Box 1203, Douglas, Ga. 31534.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
