Christine Crosby Jacobs

Christine Crosby Jacobs, age 92, of Baxley passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the Pavilion under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.

Mrs. Jacobs was born October 2, 1932 in Appling County to the late Marvin Carter and the late Lillie Roberts Carter. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and retired from Ember Industry. Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by her husbands, James Crosby and Rev. Roy Jacobs; and two sisters, Bobbie Jean Ware and Betty Ann Sellers. 

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Crosby of Baxley; one grandchild, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Williamson, Rev. Benji McReady and Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery. 

Active pallbearers will be Cody Roberts, Richard Roberts, Michael Ware, Jason Sellers, Jason Thomas Sellers and Darren Hutcheson.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Pavilion A Hall, JoAnn Beecher, Sylvia Carter and Lisa Pearce.

A visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
