Clint James, age 91, of Baxley died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.
Mr. James was born February 2, 1924 in Toombs County to the late Huey Partin James, Sr. and the late Lois NeeSmith James Gay. He was a member of Edmond Chapel Church of God. Mr. James was a retired local Grocery Store Owner and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his former wife of 42 years, Mary James.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jacqueline James of Baxley; Daughter & son in law, Celeta & Gene Hart of Uvalda; 4 sons & daughters in law, Bobby & Melody James of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Billy James of Wellington, Florida, Dale James and Michael & Deanne James all of Lyons; Step children, Beverly Rollins of Alamo and Chris & Sherry Smith of Douglas; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services are Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 3:00 pm from Red Oak Baptist Church with Dr. Al James officiating.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Hugh Kight, Kenny Kight, Byron Jeffers, Freddie Howard, Marshall Black and Curtis Taylor.
Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service at the church.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
