Curtis Dillard Thomas

Curtis Dillard Thomas, age 81 of Baxley died Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at his residence under the care of Southern Care Hospice.
Mr. Thomas was born April 19, 1932, in Appling County. He was the son of the late Dillard Thomas and Chapel Mae Rowell Thomas. Mr. Thomas was the owner of Thomas Garage and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Thomas of Baxley; Two daughters, Karen (Brandon) Lewis of Hazlehurst and Joy (Michael) Brazell of Evans; One sister, Nell Sapp of Baxley; Two brothers, D.L. Thomas of Baxley and Ray Thomas of Pooler; 5 Grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Quinn and Rev. Tommy Lowery officiating.
Active Pallbearers are Larry Callaway, Joey Merier, Brandon Lewis, Michael Brazell, Trevor Gibbs, Carroll Sapp & Dale Sapp.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mr. & Mrs. G.W. Dean, Mr. & Mrs. Derrol Hutcheson, Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Reese, Carl Tillman, Mr. & Mrs. Bob Shipes, Arlie McMillan, Robert Huff, Dwayne Bullard, Herb Hunter & Imogene Crapps.
Interment will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Swain Funeral Home.
