David L. Crosby

David L. Crosby, age 70, of Baxley died Friday, August 5, 2016 at his residence under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.

Mr. Crosby was born July 28, 1946 in Alma to the late Berry Allen Crosby and the late Anize Belle Hayes Crosby. He was a member of the Baxley Christian Center.
Mr. Crosby was a retired welder and pipe fitter.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Howell Crosby of Baxley, sons and daughters in law, David & Carissa Crosby of Winder and Barry and Susan Crosby of Lincolnton;
sisters, Elizabeth (Wendell ) Crosby of Baxley, Lillian Hammond of Atlanta, Frances Goodman of McDonough and Maxine Scott of Dublin; brother B.G. (Joan) Crosby of Baxley; eight grandchildren, Britney, Grant, Ashley, Bailey, John Thomas, B.J., Andrew and Carter; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8 at 2:00 PM at the Baxley Christian Center. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Rev. Roger Daniels, Rev. Earl Wiggins and Rev. Billy Bratton will officiate.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Grant Crosby,Earl Beecher,B. J. Crosby,Luke Dyal,Wayne Crosby and Ricky Crosby.

Honorary pallbearers are the Senior Adult Class of the Baxley Christian Center and Spanish Oaks Hospice.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3 until 5 PM at Swain Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Baxley Christian Center, 5004 Hatch Parkway North, Baxley, GA 31513
