Delcie Igou Lawrence

Delcie Igou Lawrence, age 101, of Macon died Monday, January 25, 2016.

Mrs. Lawrence was born April 26, 1914 in Appling County to the late John Dolfus Igou and the late Maudie Young Igou. She was a member of Faith Baptist Temple. Mrs. Lawrence was a very special mother who loved everybody and was a true friend who wanted to cook for anyone who came by. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Willie Lawrence, a son, Kenneth Allen Lawrence, two sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include her three daughters, Gloria Johnson, Euteva Baldwin both of Macon and Annette (Hubert) Evans of Forsyth; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and nine great- great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in the Asbury United Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service.

Active pallbearers are Mike Clegg, Danny Lawrence, DeWayne Lawrence, Kenneth DeWayne Lawrence, Justin Lockhart and Keith Cavender.

Honorary Pallbearers are grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and all friends and family in attendance.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
