Donald Lee Knight

Donald L. “Donnie” Knight, age 80, of Baxley passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the Pavillion under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

Mr. Knight was born June 21, 1944 in Appling County to the late Lonnie Lee Knight and the late Eunice Carter Woods. He worked in maintenance for 42 years with Amoco Fabrics and Hazlehurst Mills. He was a member at Spring Branch Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Davis Knight; son, Robert Wesley Knight; brother, Mickey Knight and infant grandson Donald Gregory Kicklighter.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy (Gregg) Kicklighter of Baxley, and two grandchildren, Will Kicklighter and Cassidy Kicklighter both of Baxley. 

Funeral services will be held, Friday January 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Park officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Hutcherson, Eric Hutcherson, Will Kicklighter, Derek Park, and Austin Blackmon.

Remembrances can be made to Spring Branch Church or Carter Cemetery Fund.
