Mr. Donnie Bowen, age 80, died Saturday, September 19, 2015.
Mr. Bowen was born May 20, 1935 in Appling County to the late Joe Bowen and the late Nora Kersey Bowen. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and worked many years with Cromer Chevrolet and retired from Cothern Varnadore Chevrolet as a service & parts manager.
Survivors include his wife, Aleene Bowen of Baxley; A son and daughter in law, Richard & Jerrie Ann Bowen of Baxley; Four sisters & brothers in law, Nellie Tootle of Baxley, Sue & Avon Gwynn of Brunswick, Jackie & Charles Siddons & Pat Claxton all of Baxley; One grandchild and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Brown and Rev. Brad Park officiating.
Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jerrod Ball, Avon Gwynn, ZA Music, Gerald Smith, James Mincey and Charles Davis.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
