Doris Elizabeth (Clark) Teston

Doris Elizabeth Clark Teston, age 83, of Baxley passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at The Pavilion.

Mrs. Teston was born April 4, 1939 in Appling County to the late Howard Samuel Clark and the late Emily Eudell Tillman Clark. She was a member of Baxley Church of God where she served many years as a Sunday School Teacher and with the Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a retired accountant with over 50 years of service with Akzo Nobel and the former co-owner of Gene’s Fitness Center.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Teston was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Teston; son, Darrell Teston; and brother, John Clark.

Survivors include her son, Greg (Chanda) Teston of Baxley; sister, Jackie Serfling of Baltimore, Maryland; grandson, Dylan (Ali Marie) Christopher of Baxley; special niece, Pam Stack of London; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Justin McLellan and Rev. James Minick officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Alan Atkins, Kevin Parker, Mason Parker, David Yawn, Gary Yawn, and Rock Courson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Nail, Lee Fearington, Bobby Martin, Lee Otis Williams, members of Gene’s Fitness Center, Community Hospice, and B-Hall staff of the Pavilion.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
