Doris Ray Harp age 75, of Bowling Green, FL died Monday, June 6, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Harp was born June 21, 1940 in Appling County but had resided in Bowling Green, Florida for 45 years. She was a fruit sectionizer with Peace River Packing Co. in Fort Meade for 25 years, a member of the Florida Flywheelers, and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Harp was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie McKenley Hand and Lena Mae Kersey Hand, several brothers and sisters, and one grandchild.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Harp of Bowling Green, FL; sons, Charlie Joe Ray, III of Orlando, FL, Neil Marino Ray and Kevin Dewaine Ray both of Bowling Green, and Brian Keith Ray of Atlanta; daughters, Doris Ann Ochoa of Winter Park, FL, Sandra Lynn Jones of Goose Creek, SC & Candace Keitha Ray of Lyndhurst, VA; sisters, Myrtice Everett of Baxley & Marie Manning of Graham; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Linda Bratton officiating.
Interment will follow in the Omega Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Adam Jones, Nick Jones, James Miles, George Hand, Timothy Hand and Carroll Hand.
Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Swain Funeral Home.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
