Doris Janet Hutcheson

Doris Janet Hutcheson, age 94, of Baxley passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Memorial Health Meadows in Vidalia.

Mrs. Hutcheson was born March 29, 1930 in Soperton, Georgia to the late Sam Thigpen and the late Thelma Skinner Thigpen. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired Seamstress. Mrs. Hutcheson was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Hutcheson, and her daughter, Linda Townsend. 

Survivors include her grandsons, Corey Aycock and Chris Aycock both of Baxley; a step granddaughter, Chela Hutcheson Torchia; and a great grandchild, Anna Mae Ruth Reynolds also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Gilliam officiating.

Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Corey Aycock, Robert Bush, Kyle Hardwick, Kevin Hardwick and Lamar Leggett.

A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
