Dwight Jennings Sellers, age 87, of Baxley died Monday, August 31, 2015 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
Mr. Sellers was born November 8, 1927 in Appling Co. to the late Henry Morris Sellers and the late Adna Coursey Sellers. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church, the Holmesville Masonic Lodge 195 F & AM and the Shriners Ali Temple of Savannah, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired security officer with Union Camp Paper Co. Mr. Sellers was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline Turner Sellers and his son, Kenneth Lee Sellers.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita H. Sellers of Baxley; daughters, June Sellers Archer of Savannah and Pat Sellers Hodges of Fleming; sisters, Henrietta S. Kennedy of Royston and Jane S. Crummy of Monroe; brother, Buck Sellers of Orange Park, five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Stone, Rev. Robert Wigley, and Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be members of the Holmesville Masonic Lodge 195 F & AM.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
