Elizabeth Marion (Williams) Stone, age 81, of Hazlehurst passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at her residence under the care of Community Hospice.

Mrs. Stone was born January 9, 1943 to the late Jessie Williams and the late Beatrice Barlow Williams. She worked as a supervisor for Amoco Fabrics and Hazlehurst Mills and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She loved yard sales and flea markets, working in her yards, sewing, and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Stone; two stepsons, Donnie Stone and Puggie Smith; two great-grandchildren, Riley Miller and Colton Stone, and four siblings, Glenda O’Quinn, Bud Williams, Edward Carver and Jay Williams.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Hall of Hazlehurst; stepdaughters, Amy (Billy) Hughes and Judy Swanson both of Hazlehurst; sons, James “Jimbo” (Gail) Davis of Baxley and Kelly (Nora) Davis both of Hazlehurst and stepson, Eugene “PeeWee” (Tonya) Stone, Jr. of Fitzgerald; and sisters, Betty Varnadoe of Warner Robbins and Carol Bramlett of Dona Vista, FL. Eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Jinker Horton officiating. Interment will follow in Zoar Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Gabe Hall, Jamie Davis, Josh Stone, Victor Yawn, Stacy Hall, and Terry Davis.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
