Eveline Reeves Peacock

Eveline Reeves Peacock, age 76, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in the Appling Healthcare System.

Mrs. Peacock was born August 29, 1938 in Appling County to the late James Edward Reeves and the late Eunice Stone Reeves and was a member of Melton's Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Peacock was a retired Secretary from the Appling County Board of Education and was voted Secretary of the Year for Appling County in 1988. She was a member of the Georgia Retired Teachers Association and served in the Appling Chapter of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Mrs. Peacock was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick "Freddy" Peacock; a sister, Ethel Hipps; and two brothers, W. M. Reeves and J. C. Reeves.

Survivors include two sisters & a brother in law, Christine Murray of Blackshear and Betty & Alvin Sellers of Baxley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 27, 2015 from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Teutsch, Rev. John Aulds & Rev. Rickey Rushing officiating.
Interment will follow in Baxley Graveyard.

Active Pallbearers are Burnette Reeves, Daren Sellers, Dwain Sellers, Terry Murray, Chuck Nail, James Nail and Jamey Jacobs.

Honorary Pallbearers are all friends in attendance.

Visitation will be Thursday evening, 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
