Evelyn Francine (Shubert) Jarrell

Evelyn Francine Shubert Jarrell passed away on April 5, 2024 at her residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

Evelyn was born on July 29, 1935 in Commerce, Georgia to the late Elbert Gordon Shubert and the late Alice Ruby Echols Shubert. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert D. Jarrell Sr.; two sons, Robert “Bobby” Jarrell Jr., and Richard Lee Jarrell; one sister and four brothers.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Frances E. Jarrell of Baxley; two sons, William E. Jarrell, and Joseph R Jarrell, Sr. both of Baxley; four sisters, Bettye Mullis and Mildred Roton both of Jacksonville, FL, Shirley Newton of Dalton, GA, and Barbara Laufman of Oregon; and one brother, Gordon Shubert of Jacksonville, FL. Six grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Appling Memorial Gardens.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
