Ferman Roger Fowler, age 85, of Jesup passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.
Mr. Fowler was born July 18, 1935 in Erwin County to the late Ferman Preston Fowler and the late Evelyn Thomas Fowler. He was a member of Black Rock Baptist Church in Yulee, Florida. Before retiring, he was a boilermaker with local union 199 and was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Courson Fowler, sister, Dale Fowler Guthrie and a brother, Kirby Fowler.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Fowler Lorant; son, Preston Fowler; sister, Cindy Gray; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. at Asbury Church Cemetery with a eulogy given by Preston Fowler and Rev. Billy Gardner and Rev. John Casper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate), Yulee Little League Association, or to Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org)
Active pallbearers will be Geoffrey Fowler, Ronald Mayer, Robert Farmer, William Courson, Robby Courson, and Monroe Crosby.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
