Gail Murray, age 64, of Surrency died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Murray was born July 4, 1949 in Appling County and was the daughter of the late Chris Alford Bates and the late Willie Mae Crosby Bates. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Murray was a retired Cosmetologist.
Survivors include her husband, Freddie Murray of Surrency; 2 Sons, Thomas Murray and Chris Murray both of Surrency; 2 Sisters, Christine Carter of Surrency and Holly Carey of Glenwood; Brother, Burtonlynn "Rusty" Bates of Statesboro. 4 grandchildren, Auden, Skylar, Chance and Raigen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlton Rowell officiating.
Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Jessie Murray, Jerome Murray, Jerry Murray, Jeffery Murray, Greg Murray and Jerry Kersey.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Swain Funeral Home.
