Helen Walters Kennedy, age 89, of Baxley died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Kennedy was born July 31, 1924, in Baxley, GA to the late George and the late Madie Walters. She was a member of Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church. She spent a lifetime of devotion and service to God, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Kennedy and a son Gary G. Collins.
Survivors include Daughter, Lark Collins McIntosh (Jack) of Anderson, SC; Son, Joey Collins (Nancy) of Baxley; Daughter-in-law, Emma Jean Collins of Baxley; Sister, Marjean Walters Rich of Nashville, Tenn.; three Grandchildren, Genny Culbreath of Columbia, SC, Jody Collins and Reid Collins of Baxley; Four Great Grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Swain Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buddy Coss and Chris Nails officiating. Interment will follow at Crosby Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening, 6-8 p.m., at Swain Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Jody Collins, Reid Collins, Stacy Culbreath, Hank Dubose, Zeno Douglas, and Stephen Tillman.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crosby Chapel United Methodist Church
