Helen Milner Osborne

Mrs. Helen Milner Osborne, age 100, of Lake City, Florida died Tuesday afternoon, in Baxley, Georgia at The Pavilion.


She was born in Zebulon, Georgia to the late John Holmes Milner and Bessie Cannafax Milner and had lived in Sanford, Florida prior to moving to Lake City in 1989. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Homer Lee Osborne. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Lake City.


Mrs. Osborne is survived by one son, William Milner Osborne (Jan), Lake City, Florida, one daughter, Jane Osborne Morris, Baxley, Georgia, five grandchildren, Terri Millikin (Mike), Steve Osborne, (Debbie) and Sam Osborne all of Lake City, Florida, Pam DeWitt (Randy), of Jacksonville, Florida and Michael Morris (Dessa), Monroe, Georgia. Nine great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Housch, Oneonta, Alabama also survive.


Funeral services for Mrs. Osborne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., October 21, 2013 at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Mike Tatum, Pastor of Parkview Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Pete Sharber, Albany, Georgia officiating.


Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.


Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 S. Hwy 441, Lake City, Florida. Local arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
