Helen Hallman Tootle

Helen Hallman Tootle, age 82, of Baxley died Sunday, August 16, 2015 at The Pavilion.


Mrs. Tootle was born September 13, 1932 in Appling County to the late David Sindey Yarborough and the late Mildrid Carter Yarborough. She was a member of Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church and worked at Ship and Shore in Baxley. Mrs. Tootle was preceded in death by Walter Milton "Buddy" Hallman, Clyde Tootle; one daughter, Gail Mincey; two grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.


Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann Williamson of Denton, Linda Diane Britt and Debra Elaine Tootle both of Reidsville; two sons, Richard Milton Hallman and Walter Michael Hallman both of Baxley; one sister, Miriam Hurley of Ingleton, TX; four brothers, Roy Yarborough, Russell Yarborough, Raymond Yarborough, David Yarborough all of Folkston, GA ; 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 11:00 from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Weisel officiating. Interment will follow in the Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.


Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.


Active pallbearers: Allen Hallman, Carlton Britt, Alex Herrington, Kyle Miller, Chris Bazemore, & Clint Parham.


Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
