Homer Eugene "Gene" Lott, Jr

Homer Eugene "Gene" Lott, Jr. age 80, of Baxley died Tuesday, May 31, 2016.

Mr. Lott was born November 4, 1935 in Appling County to the late Homer Eugene Lott, Sr. and the late Ruth Mariah Sapp Lott. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church, the Young Farmers and the Altamaha Fire Department. Mr. Lott was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Townsend, grandson, Jonathan Lott and a great granddaughter, Hadley Beasley.

Mr. Lott is survived by his wife, Peggy Y. Lott of Baxley; two daughters & sons in law, Beverly & William Cauley of Soperton & Janine & Jimmy Hunter of Baxley; son & daughter in law, Wayne & Tammie Lott of Baxley; grandchildren, Cathy & Jason Funderburk, Katie & Daniel Williamson, Will Cauley & Molly Pollette, Myra & Brandon Harrelson, Jamie & Grant Beasley & James & Torie Hunter; great grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Mallory, Kade, Kace, Kamdyn, Abby, Allie, Alexis, Raelan & Lizzy.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Beecher, Rev. Terry Reagin and Rev. Marty Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are grandsons, Jason Funderburk, Daniel Williamson, Will Cauley, Grant Beasley, James Hunter & Brandon Harrelson.

Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Swain Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
