Inez (Anderson) Turner

Inez Anderson Turner, age 92, of Baxley passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 at Appling Healthcare.

Mrs. Turner was born May 23, 1929 in Appling County to the late Jeff S. Anderson and the late Beulah Burke Anderson.  She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday school and was a member of the choir.  Mrs. Turner was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was a farmer & a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George Willis “G. W.” Turner, Jr., brothers, Cecil “Andy” Anderson, Ed Anderson, Curtis “Red” Anderson and sisters, Edna Davis and Myrtice Stancil; son-in-law, Simon Rowell; and daughter-in-law, Marsha Turner.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Patsy Rowell of Baxley and Betty & Phil Jenkins of Baxley; sons and daughter-in-law, Lamar Turner of Baxley and Jeffery & Susan Turner of Baxley; eight grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Quinn, Rev. Rick Brown, and Adam Thomas officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Nathan Lewis, Hayden Turner, Seth Jernigan, Tate Jernigan, Avery Turner, Garrett Grothmann, Phillip Twiggs, and John McLemore.

Honorary pallbearers will be all friends in attendance.

Due to Covid-19, all attendees are asked to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service. Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
