J.C. Scarborough age 91, died September 16, 2014 in the Pavilion.
Mr. Scarborough was born January 19, 1923 in Appling County to the late David McCoy Scarborough and the late Annie Mercer Scarborough. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Mr. Scarborough retired from AKZO Chemical Utility. He was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Scarborough.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Youmans Scarborough of Baxley; Two sons & daughters in law, Richard & Wilma Scarborough & Danny & Julie Scarborough all of Baxley; A daughter in law, Patricia Scarborough of Baxley; Cousin, Edwin Moody of Baxley. 10 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben DeFore officiating.
Interment will follow in the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery
Active Pallbearers are Tommy Youmans, Donald Youmans, Joseph Switzer, Greg Thomas, Ricky Thomas & Keith Thomas.
Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service.
