Jean F. Deen

Jean F. Deen, age 86, of Baxley died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at West Georgia Hospice of LaGrange.
Mrs. Deen was born March 3, 1928 in Hayes, LA to the late Thomas Fontenot and the late Oza LeBlanc Fontenot. She was a retired clerk from Morris' Department Store and a member of Tearer Road Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother and was preceded in death by her husband, John Maxwell "Max" Deen.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy (Joe) Whaley of LaGrange; son, Jackie (Deborah) Deen of LaGrange; sister, Helen (Bob) Lewis of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jane) Whaley of Merritt Island, FL, Brett (Abby) Whaley, Adam Deen of Cleveland, OH, & Natalie Deen of Alliane, OH; three great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Dunn Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Rick Brown will officiate with interment to follow in Satilla Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Honorary pallbearers: Mr. & Mrs. Bender Brown, Carolyn Lott, Katheryn NeeSmith, Donnie Sikes, Sr., & Frances Daniels.
