Jerry Joe Beckworth, age 64 of Monticello, GA, formally of Gibson, GA, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Athens Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Beckworth-Swinson Family Cemetery, Baxley, GA.
A native of Baxley, Jerry was the son of the late Abraham and Lola Grace Crosby Beckworth. He was a millwright mechanic with Kimberly Clark and a farmer.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Abraham Beckworth, Jr.; sisters, Jaunita Pohl and June Beckworth and is survived by his son, Corey Beckworth; daughter, Natasha Beckworth; sisters, Christine Oxendine, Myrtle Hogbin, Clementine Schulze, Merita Aswald, Janice Yee, Belverline Walters and Janie Jenkins; brothers, Willis S. Beckworth and Henry F. Beckworth; several nieces and nephews.
The Beckworth family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, October 27, 2017 at Taylor Funeral Home, 57 College Place Gibson, Georgia 30813.
