Jewel Faye Adams Hollar

Jewel Faye Adams Hollar, age 78, of Baxley died Tuesday, April 21, 2015.

Mrs. Hollar was born May 25, 1936 in Appling County to the late Bill Adams and the late Beulah Mae Deen Adams. She was a long time member of Friendship Congregational Christian Church and founding member of Chapel on the Sound at Holiday Island, North Carolina. Mrs. Hollar was chairperson for the Hertford, North Carolina Republican National Party and was a community volunteer with other charitable organizations. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, William "Bill" Johnson & Ned R. Hollar, four children, Cathy Johnson, William "Billy" Johnson, Lynn Johnson, Steve Johnson, two brothers, Donnie Adams, Kenneth Adams , sister, Thelma Adams.

Survivors include her two daughters and son in law, Vickie & Donald Herrington of Baxley and Lisa Cullipher of Hertford, N.C; Three brothers, Lonnie Adams, Willie Adams both of Baxley and James Adams of Hazlehurst; 8 grandchildren, Darrell (Shelly) Johnson, Cyndi Whichard & fiancAC., Jimmy Duke, Maria (Grant) Gibson, Jacob Byrd, Julie (Chad) Carson, Jessica (Ben) Clements, Brandon (Tina) Minear & Anthony (Erin) Herrington.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 from Friendship Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. Barry Teutsch officiating.

Interment will follow in Baxley Graveyard Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until funeral hour at Friendship Congregational Christian Church.

Active pallbearers are Anthony Herrington, Brandon Minear, Ben Clements, Darrell Johnson, Chad Carson & Jacob Byrd.


Honorary Pallbearers are Ashley Whichard, Aliana Carson, James Clements, James Brailsford, Alex Brailsford, David Brailsford, Gabriella Carson, Brianna
Carson, Madison Rentz, Bryan Whichard, Kaiden Minear, Emagin Johnson, Jessalynn Herrington, Ethan Johnson, Jasmine Byrd, Jesse Byrd and all family and friends in attendance.
