Joan Hall Varnadore, age 75, of Baxley, GA died Sunday, October 5, 2014.

Mrs. Varnadore was born September 27, 1939 to the late Harold Hall and the late Serina Vaughn Hall. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Varnadore was a seamstress for many years and was a manager for General Dollar. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary H. Walker, brothers, Jack Hall, James Hall and grandson, Joshua Varnadore & brother in law, Earl Herrington.

Survivors include her husband, Ezra Varnadore of Baxley; Daughter, Deana V. Cohen of St. Simons Island; 2 sons & daughters in law, Ricky & Kimberly Varnadore of Girard & Roger & Shirlene Varnadore of Vidalia; 2 sisters & brother In law, Lorine & Raymond Davis of Hazlehurst & Katie Mae Herrington of Orange Park, Florida; 7 grandchildren, Christy & Luke Schuster, April Wight, Jason & Ansley Varnadore, Caleb Varnadore, Blake Cohen & Austin Cohen, 4 great grandchildren & 41 nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Lawson and Rev. Dannie Hix officiating.

Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Dennis Roberson, Caleb Varnadore, Jamie Hall, Randy Davis, Joe Oxendine & Mike Nail.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Swain Funeral Home.

Remembrances may be made to America Diabetes Association, Northeast FL/Southeast GA Office, 8384 Baymeadows Road, Suite 10, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or St Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 ST. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
