John Christopher Moore

John Christopher Moore, age 55, of Baxley passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Chris was born November 22, 1969 in Ware County. He was a dedicated lineman and truck driver who took great pride in his work. Through the years, he was employed with Southeast Power, Mas Tech, and C & C Power. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Blackshear. Chris enjoyed 4-wheeling and sports, especially NASCAR and the Florida Gators.  He was preceded in death by his father, John Moore; sister, Dana Moore-Scott; stepfather, Gary Corbin; and granddaughters, Wilder & Wylder Sellers.

Survivors include his daughters, Shayla (Jonathon) Sellers of Baxley, Amber (Johnny) Clark of Hazlehurst, Rachelle Paris of Macclenny, FL, and Hope Godwin of Fernandina Beach, FL; sons, Brody Moore of Fernandina Beach, FL and Aaron Agnew of Hilliard, FL; mother, Mary Ann Corbin of Baxley; brother, Zack Corbin of Baxley; and his best friend, LaTrecia Moore of Fernandina Beach, FL; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Edmund Thrift and Robert Martin officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
