Juanita (Peacock) Hutcheson

Juanita Peacock Hutcheson, age 82, of Hephzibah entered into rest on Wednesday October 13, 2021.

On May 26, 1956, she married the love of her life, Herbert Eugene Hutcheson. She was a loving wife and mother, substitute teacher and later worked for the Richmond County Parks and Recreation as the McBean Center Director from 1988 until her retirement in 1996. She was also a loyal church member. She loved reading, gardening, and spending time with children. She is preceded in death by her husband Herbert Eugene Hutcheson, by her parents, G.J. and Pauline Peacock; children, Michael Eugene Hutcheson and Paula Marie Hutcheson.

She is survived by her children Herbert A. Hutcheson of McBean; Henry Steven Hutcheson of Augusta. Grandchildren, Shanna (John) Evors, Lauren Hutcheson, Taylor Hutcheson, and Parker Hutcheson; great grandchildren, Maggie and Shane Evors; brothers James Peacock and Johnny Peacock; and a sister-in-law, Martha Hutcheson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Miracle Baptist Church in Hephzibah and a graveside service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Justin McLellan officiating.
