Kathleen "Kay" Edwards Morris

Kathleen “Kay” Morris, age 67, of Baxley died Friday, October 8, 2021 at Appling Healthcare.

Mrs. Kay was born October 7, 1954 in Bacon County to the late Wilton Edwards and the late Iva Lee Dyal Edwards.  She was a member of Baxley Christian Fellowship and was formerly employed at Rayonier and Bailey Boy’s and received an accounting degree from Altamaha Technical College. Mrs. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Morris, a sister, Joanne Duncan and brother, Wilton Doyle Edwards.

Survivors include her sisters, Trinney Hardesty and Doris Davis both of Baxley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Dyal and Rev. Roger Daniels officiating.

Interment will follow in Melton’s Chapel Church Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Wesley Evans, Chris Dyal, Chandler Edwards, Jared Spell, Caleb Dyal, Jordan Dyal, Jeremy Dyal and George Childs.

Honorary pallbearers will be all friends in attendance.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
