Kelly Bird

Randall Kelly Bird, age 56, of Baxley died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
Mr. Bird was born May 21, 1957 in Appling County. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served in various leadership capacities. Mr. Bird has been an active member of Boy Scout Troup 472 for 50 years and earned the rank of Eagle Scout and later served as Scout Master for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Bird of Baxley; daughter, Rachel Kelly Bird of Baxley; Parents, Claude & Cleora Bird of Baxley; brother, Gary Bird of Baxley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim McLendon, Rev. Thad Harvey and Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Appling Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bird will lie in state one hour prior to funeral service.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2014, 6-8 pm at the First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Boy Scout Troup 472 c/o First United Methodist Church 217 South Main Street, Baxley, Ga. 31513.
