Lanell W. Rowell

Lanell W. Rowell, age 75, of Baxley, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Memorial Health in Savannah.

Mrs. Rowell was born July 15, 1946 in Patterson to the late Columbus Guley Watts and the late Pauline Blanton Watts.  She was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church and was a Secretary for Murray Forestry for sixteen years.  Mrs. Rowell was preceded in death by her step-father, Bob Tyre; son; James Rowell and brothers; Everett Watts, Coley Watts.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Rowell of Baxley; son, Ronald (Anita) Rowell of Baxley; grandsons, Walker (Kandra) Rowell and Caleb Googe all of Baxley; and great granddaughters, Maelynn Renee Rowell and Amelia James Rowell.  Extended grandchildren, Willy Wright, Zach (Heather) Wright, Wyatt Wright, Amberly (Trey) Wigley and Michelle Marple; and several extended great- grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hutcheson officiating.

Interment will follow in Altamaha Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Rusty Rowell, Steven Watts, Chris Watts, Tommy Rowell, John “Choo Choo” Griffin and Wyatt Wright.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
