Lanier D. "Cat" Oxendine

Lanier D. "Cat" Oxendine, age 83, died Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Pavilion under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.
Mr. Oxendine was born May 4, 1933 to the late Rorie and Pearl Carter Oxendine. He was a member of Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Oxendine was a retired truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was preceded in death by a brother Jack Oxendine.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gay Oxendine of Baxley; son, John (Sandee) Oxendine of Baxley; grandchildren, Caleb, Michael and Isaac Oxendine.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13 at 11:00 AM at Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church. Rev Allen Rea and Rev. Jim Snell will officiate.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Interment will follow in Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Ronnie Nelson, Bane Courson, H.M. Lott, Eddie Black, Darrell Taylor and Chris Hutchinson.
Honorary pallbearers are Billy & Betty Lewis, Larry & Connie Carter, Daryl & Brenda Gail Youmans, Michael J. Baxley, Royce & Joann Kimmons and Wilton & Sylvia Carter.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Swain Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
