Leon Sellers, age 65, of Baxley passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Sellers was born August 28, 1951 in Jeff Davis County and was a member of Melton’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a farmer, an avid hunter & fisherman. Mr. Sellers was preceded in death by his father, Dewitt Sellers & a nephew, Brian Reynolds.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret C. Sellers of Baxley; son & daughter in law, Brandon & Melissa Sellers of Statesboro; mother, Opal H. Sellers of Baxley; three sisters & brothers in law, Wilene S. & Charles Kight, Glenda S. & Bob Christian both of Baxley and Sheri S. & Micah Yandell of Hendersonville, TN; brother in law & sister in law, Howell & Martha Clements of Odum; granddaughter, Braeden Sellers & grandson, Mason Sellers both of Statesboro; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Zeigler & Rev. Danita Knowles officiating.
Interment will follow in Melton’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery
Active pallbearers will be Dwain Sellers, Tim Howard, Michael Christian, Byron Carter, James “Pee Wee” Edwards, Roy Lewis & Jarvis Marchant.
Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Swain Funeral Home.
