Louis Leonard Forehand, Jr., age 82, of Baxley died Monday, December 23, 2013 in the Appling Healthcare System.
Mr. Forehand was born March 18, 1931 and resided in Appling County most of his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Hilton Forehand and a brother, Fletcher Forehand. He was a veteran of the United States Army, was retired from Bax-Steel & a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Forehand; daughters, Dianne (Ed) Williams & Sheila (Randy) Alexander; sons, Curtis (Janet) Forehand & Randy Forehand; sister, Joy (Charles) Patterson; brothers, Jimmy Forehand & Pete Forehand; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. John Hutto & Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 26, 2013, 6-8 p.m., at Swain Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers: Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Thomas, Ricky White, John Corey, Herman Shuman, Aaron Lightsey, Vance Faircloth, Roy Nails, & the C-Hall Staff of The Pavilion.
