Marion Davie Pruitt

Marion Davie Pruitt, age 84, of Baxley passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 at Hospice of South Georgia in Wayne County.

Mr. Pruitt was born December 21, 1939 in Clarksville, Texas to the late Delta Paul Pruitt and the late Florence Agnes Coker Pruitt. He was the owner and operator of Pruitt’s Furniture.  He is preceded in death by his son, Spencer Chaffin, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Mabell Childers Pruitt; daughters, Shelia (Steve) Baxley and Linda Sheri Pruitt; sons, James Allen Pruitt, Danny Paul Pruitt, and Stanley Chaffin. Two Grandchildren, Kathy Baxley, Brian (Aubrey) Baxley; and five great- grandchildren, Jala Baxley, Colin Jarrett, Lexi Jarrett, Jones Baxley and Terry Boddie also survive.

In honor of Mr. Priutt’s wishes, there will be no public memorial service at this time.
