Mary Burke Hampton, age 89, died Sunday, November 22, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Hampton was born, September, 28, 1926, in Appling County. She was a member of Baxley Church of God and was a retired licensed minister with the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wadis Hampton; two daughters, Mary Sue Hampton and Dorothy Etters; one sister, Mildred Spell.
Survivors include one daughter, Joan Hatcher, six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Baxley Church of God with Rev. Walter Langdon, Rev. Keith Maxwell, Rev. Lamar Lee, and Rev. Rick Brown officiating.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Will Beauchamp, Joey Beauchamp, Justin Nabors, Clinton Gray, Matthew Miller, and Tyler Gray.
Honorary Pallbearers are Members of Corner Stone Church, Meredeth Partin, Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Downs, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Arnold, and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Wilson.
